| Circuit training is becoming increasingly
popular with many people because it can deliver excellent results
if done correctly.
It provides both cardio and resistance training in one
efficient workout.
How can circuit training help you?
- However fit you are the intensity of the circuit can easily
be adjusted to suit you.
- Circuit training is excellent for developing good strength,
core and body tone.
- Circuit training uses “compound
exercises” which use multiple muscle groups at the same
time.
- These “compound exercises” are
more effective than spending time on individual muscles.
- You are combining aerobic and resistance (strength) exercises
in the same session.
- The intense pace of circuit training
is an excellent fat burner.
- Circuit training is fun!
- Circuit training can be tailored to suit your time constraints.
If you are short of time you can do just one circuit,
which
takes
about
15-20
minutes
(including warm-up and cool down)
- Circuit training can be done at home or the gym.
- Circuit training can be easily adapted to prevent your body
reaching a plateau.
- An effective circuit can be designed using a few pieces of
easily obtained and cheap equipment (less than £50)
or even no equipment at all!
The main benefit of circuit training can be
summed up with these words: “Maximum results in the
minimum time”.
The old excuses "I'm too busy" or "I don't like
going to the gym"
just aren't true with this training method.
